Ride Level: Intermediate/Moderate

Experience the rugged beauty of the Red River Gorge in winter on this Intermediate/Moderate guided ride through the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway. February conditions may add an extra layer of challenge with slick mud, water crossings, and deep ruts. Trails range from moderate to slightly difficult technical ratings and feature loose rock, erosion, ledges, and short but steep climbs.

Important Notes:

Trails may be muddy or icy due to winter conditions!
Suitable for drivers with some trail experience
Vehicles should be lightly modified for off-road use

Recommended Vehicle Setup:
Winch , 33” mud-terrain or all-terrain tires, Spare tire, and Suspension lift

Saturday Jan 10: Winter Wheeling in the Gorge
Ride Level: Intermediate

Gear up for an unforgettable winter guided off-road adventure through the breathtaking Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway! This tour is perfect for drivers with some trail experience and lightly modified vehicles, offering a thrilling mix of easy to moderate technical trails.

Terrain You’ll Encounter:

• Rutted dirt trails with loose rock
• Erosion features and challenging water crossings
• Mud holes and natural obstacles like ledges and short steep climbs

We will lead you through the Gorge’s rugged backcountry, sharing tips and local knowledge along the way. Whether you’re looking for adventure, scenic views, or a chance to test your off-road skills, this winter ride promises a memorable day on the trails!
